Course Description+

The purpose of the pre-calculus course is to emphasize the basic properties of functions, expand upon algebra topics from prior courses, and introduce other skills necessary for the study of calculus. Topics include, but are not limited to, polynomial, rational, exponential, inverse, and circular functions; vectors; conic sections; trigonometry of right triangles, trigonometric equations; solutions of oblique triangles; and trigonometric identities. This course is not required, but it is strongly recommended for the college bound student pursuing a discipline that is mathematically related. A scientific calculator is required for some portions of the course.
